Greg Wickstrom

Greg Wickstrom has lived in the Bay area for over 25 years. He began playing electric bass at age 16. He made the transition to the upright bass in order to study with Mark Neuenschwander and Dee Moses at the University of South Florida, where he earned his BA in Jazz Performance. A multi-instrumentalist and Composer, Wickstrom is currently working on his musical autobiography thanks to a grant from the Pinellas Arts Council.


Influences include: Ray Brown, Slam Stewart, Ronald "Stepper" McQueen, John Paul Jones, Cachao, Phillip Glass, Victor Wooten, Trey Anistasio and Mike Watt.
